The Finance Directorate of the HUG is responsible for the hospital's financial, budgetary, and accounting management, patient administrative management, tariff setting, investment planning, development and maintenance of the business intelligence system. It manages a budget of nearly 2 billion francs, processes and controls more than one million supplier invoices and more than one million patient invoices. It proposes and publishes indicators and dashboards to monitor activity and institutional objectives. It is also responsible for producing all official statistics transmitted to health authorities.
Job description
Reporting to the head of the suppliers sector, you are responsible for independently managing all accounting activities related to the suppliers sector.
Your role is to simplify the sector's operations by providing IT and technical support and contributing to the success of sector projects by implementing adapted and innovative solutions.
You also ensure the transversal monitoring and control of the institution's flows, as well as the production and monitoring of reports and analyses.
You are also responsible for analyzing complex accounting situations and IT flows, for which you present, upon request, a precise action plan determining the goals to be achieved and the deadlines to be met.
You may also be called upon to lead and supervise a small group of collaborators.
You perform ad-hoc accounting operations during monthly and annual closings.
You enter and record various accounting documents and ensure adequate documentation to guarantee transparency of information and justify accounting operations.
You identify opportunities to improve accounting and financial processes.
You prepare the documentation and supporting documents necessary for internal and external audits.
You respond to specific auditor requests and implement their recommendations.
You ensure the completion of all administrative tasks related to maintaining the accounting reference system and documentation (operating modes, accounting schemes, procedures, etc.).
You write and present processes and procedures.
You ensure efficient management of all accounting work with anticipation, reactivity, and proactivity.
You identify malfunctions and seek corrective measures to restore normal operation as quickly as possible.
You anticipate any issues by analyzing the situation or context with the necessary perspective.
You analyze numerical data and present a result through a summary.
You design and monitor dashboards to ensure necessary monitoring and identify any anomalies.
You collaborate with other departments and transversal services to gather necessary information and ensure effective and regular communication.
You carry out all tasks or occasional assignments according to specific requests from management.
You are a rigorous, autonomous person, able to take initiatives and make improvement proposals.
You have good adaptability, team spirit, and collaboration skills.
Qualifications
You hold a Federal Diploma as a specialist in finance and accounting or an equivalent qualification.
You have at least 5 years of experience in the accounting field, ideally in a public entity.
You have excellent mastery of common IT tools MS Office and financial software (especially advanced Excel, ERP (Cegid), Business Object, and dashboards).
You have very good writing skills and excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with various interlocutors by adopting a client- and result-oriented approach.
