Electrician Installer at the Construction Directorate
The Construction, Engineering, Technical and Safety Directorate of the CHUV is looking for an electrician installer with an activity rate between 80% - 100% to complete its team. The starting date is scheduled for April 1, 2026, or to be agreed upon.
Context
The University Hospital of Lausanne (CHUV) is one of the five Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, it plays a leading role in medical care, research, and education.
The Construction, Engineering, Technical and Safety Directorate of the CHUV (CIT-S) mainly handles operation, maintenance, construction, engineering, technical assistance, and consulting within its extensive real estate portfolio of more than 40 buildings on the main hospital site.
The 3 main missions of the Construction, Engineering, Technical and Safety Directorate (CIT-S):
- Construction and modernization: ensure the study and realization of architectural projects, as well as the renovation of technical installations.
- Operation: ensure the maintenance of all technical and biomedical equipment, as well as the infrastructures of the CHUV and its affiliates. Guarantee the production and distribution of fluids and energies necessary for all medical, research, technical, and administrative activities.
- Protection and safety: ensure the protection of property and people.
Mission
- You are responsible for the maintenance and operation of electrical energy distribution installations
- You manage various equipment such as IT installations, generators, uninterruptible power supplies, alarm networks, fire detection systems, emergency lighting, nurse call systems, etc.
- You oversee the monitoring and acceptance of transformation and construction work in the hospital city for high and low voltage
- You analyze various projects
- You are required to perform on-call and site guard duties.
Profile
- You hold a Federal VET Diploma (CFC) as an electrician installer
- You have knowledge and initial experience in the maintenance of electrical installations
- You can read and understand plans and/or diagrams
- You master basic computer software (Word, Excel, etc.)
- You live less than 45 minutes from the workplace due to on-call duty requirements.
