ICT Management and Projects Manager
Office for Vocational Training | 60–80 % | Chur
The Office for Vocational Training (UCFP) is a service office of the Department of Education, Culture and Environmental Protection (DECA) and implements the tasks of the Confederation's and cantons' vocational training policy concerning basic vocational training. Furthermore, the office is the competent authority for questions regarding career, school, and studies as well as the body that accompanies throughout the entire professional career.
For June 1, 2026, or by agreement, we are looking for an ICT Management and Projects Manager for the strategic, conceptual, and operational management of ICT within the framework of the office's digital transformation.
- Develop the ICT strategy for the office with a focus on further developing electronic data exchange with surrounding systems
- Operationally manage and coordinate the ICT sector, including planning and monitoring the budget, making acquisitions, as well as directing services and contracts
- Responsible for IT and IT security at the office
- Develop directives, instructions, concepts, etc. within the area of competence
- Regulate, manage, and implement ICT projects, including collaborating on preliminary studies, preparing project plans, monitoring costs, deadlines, and goal achievement, as well as integrating target groups
- Responsible for the applications of the office's basic services
- Responsible for testing and integration of specific applications
- Responsible for organizing first-level support, including coordination with second and third-level support
- Manage and substitute the ICT support person and ensure the necessary IT know-how within the office
- Higher vocational training, specialized college, or equivalent education in the ICT sector and several years of professional experience
- Experience in managing ICT and digitalization projects, additional training such as CAS / MAS in project management, IPMA or HERMES is an advantage
- A good receptive talent, understanding of processes and connections, organizational strengths, and a structured way of working
- Problem-solving skills and comprehensive analytical thinking
- Flexibility, ability to work in a team as well as a high degree of independent work, initiative, and quality awareness
- A general interest in vocational training
- Experience in managing people
- Good oral and written knowledge of German
- Knowledge of a second cantonal language (possibly all three) is welcome.
