Ready to lead and shape our end to end Supply Chain operations across our Basel (Switzerland) and Umkirch (Germany) sites? Your responsibilities

• Create and implement the Supply Chain Management vision, strategy, policies, processes, and procedures to meet business objectives and operational needs in terms of quality, delivery, and cost targets
• Make proposals to develop the distribution network policies and strategy, and for the implementation of new and advanced technologies (including digitalization)
• Implement a customer focused operational culture delivering world class customer service levels
• Set department objectives and monitor ongoing progress and performance for inventory turns for Basel and globally, OTIF (Basel and Global), warehousing and freight costs
• Manage performance through a set of standard KPIs and ensure timely corrective actions to mitigate risks and develop opportunities
• Lead, develop and implement variable cost productivity programs across all areas of responsibility
• Support project management to cross functional activity required for project execution
• Foster a culture with high compliance standard for safety and quality, lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement
• Maintain an SAP business owners team to support Basel and all other locations globally for warehousing and supply planning processes
• Ensure proper implementation and development of SAP in own area of responsibility
• Develop further systems and processes and adapt digitalization wherever needed
• Foster high Engagement in the team by leading according the Medartis values
• Provide leadership to departments under control and coach, mentor and develop direct reports and manage a high performing team that delivers continuous improvement, added value and cost reductions
• Responsible for developing the appropriate organizational structure, resource plans and culture to support the business objectives and customer deliverables
• Ensure proper planning of resources to meet business objectives
• Responsibility for managing costs according to budget for SCM cost centers

Your qualifications

• Bachelor or Master of Science in Business economics or Engineering
• Minimum 5 years of business experience in a leadership position
• Relevant experience in different areas of Supply Chain Management (Supply Planning, Warehousing, Network design, Materials Management)
• Fluent in German and English
• SAP knowledge requested, implementation of a new ERP preferred
• Strong customer orientation
• Proven leadership and management skills with the ability to optimize team performance and development
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and influencing skills
• Results oriented with ability to plan and deliver against project deadlines
