Your work will directly support the development of next-generation cardiovascular devices that improve patient outcomes worldwide.What You’ll Do<ul><li>Lead and execute purchasing and supply management activities for all indirect categories at our Zurich Manufacturing Site.</li><li>Develop and implement cost-effective and compliant procurement strategies that create value and support business goals.</li><li>Collaborate across teams to identify opportunities for cost reduction, process improvement, and supplier consolidation.</li><li>Drive supplier relationships through selection, negotiation, and contract execution for high-value projects.</li><li>Partner with global colleagues to share best practices and explore synergies across Abbott divisions.</li><li>Ensure quality and compliance by working closely with cross-functional teams.</li><li>Contribute to innovation by continuously improving source-to-pay processes and leveraging digital tools.</li></ul>Upon success, future opportunities await managing major direct suppliers for medical device components.What We’re Looking For<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field; MBA or advanced technical degree preferred.</li><li>8+ years of experience in procurement, contract management, engineering, or project management, including 3–5 years in purchasing/sourcing.</li><li>Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships.</li><li>Fluent in English (C1 level minimum); German preferred.</li><li>Proficiency in procurement systems and digital sourcing tools.</li><li>Familiarity with ISO 13485 and regulatory requirements is an advantage.</li><li>Experience in the medical device industry is a plus.</li></ul>What Makes You Stand Out<ul><li>You thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy building strong partnerships.</li><li>You are curious, adaptable, and proactive, with a passion for continuous improvement.</li><li>You bring a strategic mindset and the ability to turn insights into action.</li></ul>Working at AbbottAt Abbott, you can do work that matters and help people to live a healthier and fuller life, grow your career, and learn, be your true self.
