ICT Supporter 100%The Office for Informatics (AFI) is the IT competence center of the Canton of Zurich. It provides comprehensive services in the area of central IT infrastructure and canton-wide applications for directorates, authorities, the judiciary, and independent institutions. Commissioned with the implementation of the new Information and Communication Technology (ICT) strategy, the office accompanies the canton in the digital world.
We are looking immediately or by arrangement for a service-oriented ICT supporter who actively and committedly supports AFI in operating the workplaces of our canton-wide customers.
Your tasks:
- Receiving and processing IT requests at the service desk (phone, email), including independent problem solving in 1st level support as well as further processing of more complex issues in 2nd level support
- Advising customers on the use of work equipment – remotely or on-site
- Installation, maintenance, and support of PCs, notebooks, peripherals, and media technology
- Ensuring the hardware lifecycle from procurement through staging, delivery, as well as moves to return and disposal
- Maintaining user and authorization data
- Participation in projects, service transfers, and testing
- Active involvement in process optimizations and quality improvements
- On-call duties according to defined deployment plans
Your profile:
- Completed training in the field of computer science (ideally specializing in system technology)
- Several years of experience in client support
- Very good knowledge of Microsoft and workplace environments
- Basic knowledge of IT service management (ITSM) or motivation to develop further in this area
- High service orientation, self-management, and enjoyment of direct customer contact
- Driver's license category B
- Very good German skills and good professional knowledge of English
- Willingness to work irregular hours and on-call duties
