Tasks:
- participates, according to the planning defined by the Director of the Institute of Forensic Medicine, in the execution of the services guaranteed by the Institute of Forensic Medicine in favor of the competent Judicial Authorities pursuant to the respective executive decree of the Council of State of December 20, 2023
- participates in the on-call service provided by the Institute of Forensic Medicine 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, for telephone consultations and direct interventions in the field of forensic medicine
- performs in particular clinical examinations, legal cadaver inspections and autopsies, drafting expert reports and opinions concerning all forensic medicine matters on behalf of the Public Prosecutor's Office of the Canton of Ticino
- carries out forensic age estimation activities and drafts expert reports and opinions on behalf of the State Secretariat for Migration
- collaborates in particular with the Public Prosecutor's Office and the Police to clarify forensic medicine issues
- generally participates in the activities of the Institute of Forensic Medicine within the scope of verifications ordered regarding any forensic case
- performs special tasks at the request of the Director of the Institute of Forensic Medicine
- individual possibility to carry out scientific research activities in agreement with the Director of the Institute
Requirements:
- specialist doctor in forensic medicine FMH or assistant doctor in training
- Swiss state exam or completion of medical studies in an EU country
- clinical and/or pathological experience is a preferential qualification
- excellent understanding and command of the Italian language, both written and oral
- ability to work meticulously and independently and possess good organizational skills
- strong interest in forensic/legal medicine activities
- ability to work in a team
- category B driving license
Special remarks:
- the appointment will be made in the form of a mandate (art. 15 and 16 LORD) for a duration of two years, renewable
- the activity includes on-call duties

Employment conditions:

- working hours: 42 hours per week (for a 100% employment relationship), flexible or according to service needs
