Facilities Technician (m/f/d)
As a Facilities Technician (m/f/d) specializing in life science environments, you will be an important team member in our facility management team. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with coordination tasks to ensure optimal facility operation for our life science clients. You will manage maintenance activities, coordinate external service providers, and support critical facility functions while ensuring compliance with industry-specific standards.
Your main tasks
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on building systems, equipment, and infrastructure (excluding HVAC systems)
- Carry out general repair and maintenance work using craft skills and technical expertise
- Support renovation projects, refurbishments, and smaller infrastructure initiatives
- Operate forklifts for material handling and goods receipt during customer absence
- Coordinate external service providers and craft companies for maintenance and repair activities
- Monitor maintenance activities and maintain accurate documentation of completed work
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards according to JLL protocols
- Provide event management support as needed
- Assist with space management and occupancy planning using CAFM tools
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for maintenance processes
- Support the implementation of new service areas and business opportunities
- Contribute to change management processes through effective stakeholder communication
Your profile
- Completed technical training/education in a relevant discipline
- Extensive experience in industrial facility management, preferably in manufacturing or life science environments
- Valid forklift license and proven logistics experience
- Comprehensive knowledge of general building maintenance and repair techniques
- Proven track record in both practical and organizational aspects of facility maintenance
- Project experience in maintenance and infrastructure initiatives preferred
- Independent, reliable working style with the ability to handle various responsibilities
- Strong problem-solving skills and quick learning ability
- Knowledge of MS Office applications
- SAP experience and familiarity with CAFM systems are advantageous
