- The cantonal doctor team is attached to the SCSP.
The cantonal doctor, as well as their team, are responsible for managing all medical issues related to public health. In this capacity, their missions notably include: the control and monitoring of the practice of medical professions, the prevention and fight against communicable diseases, as well as support and advice to health institutions regarding infection control. The team also monitors the health status of health institutions and detention facilities, as well as the respect of patients' rights.
Within the SCSP, you lead a team specialized in public health medical issues, providing technical and medical-nursing expertise to the various offices of the service.
You embody the medical authority linked to the role of cantonal doctor, ensuring the protection of the population's health and managing the state's sovereign missions in this area.
Heading a multidisciplinary team, you coordinate the office's activities, particularly in the fight against communicable diseases and the protection of vulnerable populations.
You actively contribute to the development, monitoring, and evaluation of the cantonal public health strategy.
Finally, you participate at the national level in public health work and strategies.
You hold a medical degree recognized in Switzerland (according to the LPMéd), as well as a federal or foreign postgraduate title also recognized.
You have completed your training with postgraduate education in public health and have proven experience in combating communicable diseases.
Recognized for your skills in team management and crisis management, you demonstrate ease in communication both orally and in writing in French.
