The Vocational School Winterthur (BFS) is a competence center for social professions and retail. Around 4000 students are taught here by about 200 teachers. The school is organized into two departments: the Social Professions Department, where care specialists (FaBe) and health & social assistants (AGS) are trained, and the General Department for Retail Professions (EFZ and EBA) and pre-apprenticeships.
Your tasks
- Teaching the action competencies in the vocational subject health / nutrition / home economics in the Social Professions Department, possibly supplemented by sports in both departments between two (40%) and four (80%) weekdays
- Participation in subject groups, working groups, and projects
- Creating computer-based, practical, and action-oriented teaching units
- Contributing to the further development of the FaBe professional field
- Participation in internal school events and familiarization with internal teaching concepts
Your profile
- A professional education at tertiary level (highest professional field-related qualification), e.g., degree in nursing, health, nutritional counseling, movement sciences (focus on health and nutrition) or similar
- If supplemented with sports lessons: teaching diploma in sports (focus on health and nutrition)
- Preferably you have training and several years of experience as a vocational school teacher
- Willingness to teach vocational subjects with a high theory-practice transfer
- Teamwork skills, resilience, and joy in supporting young people during their vocational training
- Enthusiasm for innovation
- IT skills and willingness to conduct computer-based teaching
