The Faculty of Law is one of the oldest of the seven faculties at the University of Basel. It covers teaching, research, and services in the field of law. It has around 250 employees and over 1,200 students.
At the Faculty of Law of the University of Basel, a position as Assistant or Student Assistant in an Assistance Role (10%) with Ms. Attorney Lea Eliezer is to be filled from 1 February 2026 (limited to 6 months) or by agreement.
Your Tasks
As an assistant or student assistant in an assistance role, you will support me in connection with my dissertation in the field of sentencing. In particular, the following tasks will be assigned to you:- Checking, standardizing, and correcting footnotes
- Checking the formal citation style according to legal standards
- Creating and maintaining the bibliography
- Matching quotes and literature references
- Support with the formal final editing of the dissertation
Your Profile
We are looking for law students, preferably with a bachelor's degree, who are interested in academic work. An independent, careful working style as well as secure PC application skills (especially Office) are required. Experience with editing articles, commentaries, textbooks, etc. is an advantage.We Offer You

- a position for 4.2 hours/week with a 10% workload and monthly employment
- the position is limited to 6 months
