Good for life – that is our motto. The Office for Youth and Career Counseling of the Canton of Zurich, the office for the districts of Affoltern, Dietikon, Horgen, operates a regional school social work office. On behalf of the schools, it is responsible for the personnel, professional, and administrative management of school social workers. To ensure a low-threshold school social work service, the workplaces are located in the individual school communities.
For the primary and secondary levels of the School Uitikon, we are looking for a school social worker starting March 1, 2026, or by arrangement.
Together with your team colleague, you will advise and support children and adolescents, parents, and teachers in educational and social matters. You are familiar with child protection and child welfare. In crises and conflicts, you conduct interventions in classes and groups. You have knowledge and experience with the "new authority" approach. As far as possible, you also provide prevention and project work. In addition, you work with the school team and other specialist offices.
For this role, we require a completed degree in social work at the university of applied sciences level and several years of professional experience in school social work or in the socio-educational field with children and adolescents. You have competencies in counseling, prevention, crisis intervention, and project work, as well as an independent and interdisciplinary working style.
We offer you a versatile, interesting, and independent activity with an annual working time (compensation for school holidays through increased workload during school time). You will receive professional support from a professional, collegial SSA team. In addition, you can expect lively professional exchange and networking with other school social workers. The employment conditions correspond to the cantonal guidelines.
