As a Senior Linux Engineer at Axpo Services AG, you will play a crucial role in the development and operation of Linux systems within a hybrid cloud environment. Your expertise will also extend to VMware, SAN, storage, and data backup systems, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.

What you will do:

• Develop and operate Linux, VMware, SAN (storage), and data protection systems and associated applications.


• Support automation and cloud migration initiatives with expertise in Infrastructure as Code and container technologies.


• Ensure high competence in system and application maintenance within the team.


• Act as a consultant for internal and external stakeholders on systems and IT infrastructure projects.


• Implement systems and applications transparently, meeting deadlines and quality standards.


• Maintain IT security and compliance with established specifications.

What you bring & who you are:

• Knowledge about SAN systems like Pure Storage or similar.


• Bachelor or Master’s degree in computer science with extensive experience in Linux, storage, and data backup.


• Proven experience in agile teams and a strong understanding of SLAs/OLAs.


• Excellent knowledge of Linux (SLES/Ubuntu) systems in hybrid cloud environments and cloud migration planning.


• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).


• Familiarity with cloud providers like Azure or AWS and server environments such as VMware.


• Strong team player with high customer orientation and analytical thinking skills.
