About the job

• Ensuring smooth research administration at both institutions
• Responsibility for budget planning, monitoring, and accounting of third-party funds
• Preparation of financial reports and controlling evaluations for the institute management as well as funding agencies (e.g., Werner Siemens Foundation, University Hospital Basel management (innovation focus), Geistlich-Stucki Foundation, military activities, and more)
• Management and optimization of administrative processes within the research group
• Coordination and implementation of recruitment and contract procedures
• Leadership and deployment planning of administrative and technical staff (PEP)
• Co-organization of symposia, congresses, and workshops/retreats

• Completed university degree (e.g., business administration, health economics, life sciences, or comparable)
• Several years of experience in research management, ideally in a university or clinical environment
• Solid knowledge in financial and third-party fund management
• Experience in personnel management and administrative process optimization
• High organizational skills as well as a structured and independent way of working
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team
• Very good German and English skills in spoken and written form; French skills are an advantage
