For our SRK Asylum and Refugee Service in the Canton of Uri, with a workplace in Altdorf (only 40 minutes by public transport from Lucerne), we are looking for a committed, independent personality as a Social Worker 60 – 80 %.
What you can achieve
- You advise and accompany all groups of people from the asylum and refugee sector in the Canton of Uri in their integration process, taking into account their personal situation and the legal framework
- You conduct initial interviews, provide personal and economic social assistance, and develop action options with the assigned individuals
- Case management and handling of client administration using social assistance software "Tutoris" is also part of your responsibilities
- You work in an interdisciplinary team, as well as collaborate with authorities, offices, and schools
What you bring
- You have a completed degree in Social Work or an equivalent qualification in the field of Social Work, or you are in advanced training in Social Work and wish to apply your expertise in practice alongside your studies.
- You can demonstrate at least two years of professional experience
- You are characterized by your sociability and openness to change. You take great pleasure in interacting with people from diverse cultural backgrounds
- Proficient application knowledge of the MS Office suite
- Fluent German language skills in spoken and written form (C1). Good English skills and knowledge of other foreign languages are a plus
- Impeccable character verified by a current special private extract (can be requested/supplied at the time of employment)
