Mission / General Objective
- Assistance to the Civil Engineering project manager in the preparation, supervision, and completion of works.
- Daily and diligent organization and monitoring of construction activities of the Civil Engineering companies present on site.
Job Description
- Writes work permits for companies and ensures that the accompanying documentation is available when required.
- Actively participates in risk analyses when the work requires it.
- Participates in or carries out internal instructions (safety induction, permits, lifting, etc.) for various contractors, team leaders, and company managers assigned to the works.
- Participates in the daily start-up of work with the teams.
- Ensures that companies working on site comply with HSE measures and rules by daily monitoring ongoing sites.
- Ensures that the executed works comply with the plans, meet the defined quality, and agreed deadlines through very regular supervision on site.
- Ensures that defined stop points are carried out on time according to the plans.
- Immediately reports all deviations to his direct technical manager. Is proactive in seeking technical/organizational solutions with the company, according to internal change-related processes.
- Reviews time and cost estimates for civil works, evaluates work progress, and estimates progress until completion.
- Prepares and submits reports and keeps a daily record of all activities and completed works, noting any obstacles to progress.
- Participates with his direct technical manager in the handover of contractor files at the end of the works.
Secondary Tasks and Responsibilities
- Participates in the technical and administrative preparation of works within the framework of Civil Engineering project lots.
- May write simple tender documents (technical requisitions) (subject to agreement with his technical manager) and orders in the company ERP.
QHSE
- Is responsible, within his activities and level, for respecting and enforcing all rules in force in our organization regarding Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment.
- Is obliged to stop any type of work that does not comply with HSE measures and rules or the required quality within his area of competence.

Qualifications
Qualifications (degrees, certificates)
- Federal Certificate in Civil Engineering / Construction or equivalent diploma.
- Professional experience
- Minimum 10 years of experience in the Civil Engineering sector
- Experience in managing civil works within a multidisciplinary environment (mechanical, piping, process, control).
- Preferably in the industrial sector (petrochemicals, refinery)
Required Skills / Abilities
- Proficiency in common computer tools (MS Office)
- Ability to work in a group within a matrix organization.
- Team spirit with a positive and dynamic attitude.
- Good written and oral communication in French, English is a plus
- Organized, rigorous, autonomous, and with very good respect for established rules
- Strong HSE awareness
Additional Information
Mission duration: 12 months renewable
