The city of Thun is a significant property owner and strategically uses its real estate for attractive urban development. As the owner’s representative, the Office for City Properties is responsible for real estate management.
In the Support & Controlling department, we are looking for a new team member as part of a realignment starting January 1, 2026, or by agreement.
Your tasks:
- Personnel and professional leadership of an assigned group of people.
- You bear overall responsibility for property accounting and, together with a team of four employees, take full accounting care of a real estate portfolio – from heating and ancillary cost billing to dunning and debt collection to annual financial statements.
- You bear overall responsibility for managing fixed asset accounting, construction accounting, as well as preparing investment controlling and conducting budget/actual evaluations within the office.
- Professional support and system responsibility: In your role, you support the Head of Support & Controlling in financial and organizational matters and are the primary contact person for the AbaImmo (Abacus) specialist application.
- As a practical trainer, you assist in the training of apprentices in the commercial field.
You bring with you:
- A commercial basic education with specialized further training in finance (at least a professional certificate in finance and accounting) with many years of experience.
- Several years of experience in finance and controlling as well as in organizational theory (methods, techniques, process organization). Experience in property and fixed asset accounting is desired.
- Good analytical and conceptual thinking as well as goal-oriented, systematic, and precise working methods and resilience.
- Ability to think holistically and solve concrete problems constructively.
