The Vocational Training School Winterthur BBW is a school of the Canton of Zurich for basic and further vocational education. More than 40 professions are taught in the departments of Construction, Technology I Nutrition, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science I Natural Sciences.
In the Department of Computer Science | Natural Sciences, we train apprentices from the professional fields of computer science, digital business development, nature, and chemistry.
At the beginning of the 2026/27 school year (starting August 17, 2026), we are looking for a vocational school teacher for computer science instruction in the platform development area 40-60%.
Your tasks
- You are enthusiastic about modern automation and container technologies and have the ability to didactically prepare complex contexts.
- While specialization often occurs early in professional practice, our modular teaching at a vocational school enables a comprehensive engagement with server services, networks, and cloud services.
- As a team-oriented and motivated personality, you are ready to actively contribute to the subject group and the department and take on additional tasks.
Your profile
- You have a university degree in computer science (HF/FH/ETH/Uni) as well as practical professional experience. You enjoy working with young professionals, are proactive, work in a team-oriented manner, and gladly take on responsibility.
- In the area of platform development, you are familiar with IaC, Git, Docker, and Kubernetes not only theoretically but also use these innovations daily in a Linux environment.
- You are also familiar with network technologies such as VLAN, STP, and TCP.
- You teach prospective computer scientists topics related to server, cloud, and container technologies and support them in their professional development.
