Your new role
As part of the development of our activities, we are looking for a consultant for a permanent contract position (full-time or part-time) in the environmental field, with experience in the nuclear industry.
Reporting to the Air/Climate team, and interacting with Ramboll's Industrial Risks team, you will be responsible for all or part of the following tasks:
- Writing studies Conducting impact studies on air quality and health, such as Interpretation of the State of the Environment (IEM), Quantitative Health Risk Assessment (EQRS),
- Writing regulatory studies for the nuclear industry (ICPE/INB framework, environmental authorization application files, impact studies, health risk assessments, hazard studies, safety analysis, regulatory compliance, notification files, water law files, etc.),
- Performing atmospheric dispersion modeling and transfer of chemical and/or radiological pollutants in the environment,
- Involvement in commercial development activities,
- Depending on your profile, supervising junior engineers and/or interns may be possible.
The ability to work in a regulated access area would be a plus (category B worker), as well as certification in any nuclear field training (safety, radioprotection, waste management).
Occasional travel within France is expected (valid category B driving license required).

These include
- Good knowledge of the Environmental Code and ICPE/INB regulations,
- Experience in writing ICPE, INB files, etc.,
- Knowledge of the methodology applicable to hazard studies, Health Risk Assessments, and Interpretation of the State of the Environment,
- Knowledge of pollutant transfer modeling methods (including radionuclides) in the environment,
- Knowledge of dose calculation methods for effective doses by inhalation, ingestion, and irradiation,
- Interpersonal skills for teamwork and client communication,
- Writing skills for deliverables produced (Impact Study, ERS, IEM, risk and safety analyses, etc.),
- Proficiency, if possible, in GIS tools such as QGIS / ArcGIS,
- Very good command of French and English allowing understanding and writing of technical documents,
- Personal skills/aptitudes such as oral and written communication, deadline-oriented organization, rigor, autonomy, initiative, synthesis and analysis skills, curiosity, and eagerness to learn.
Knowledge of one or more of the models ADMS, MODUL’ERS, CERES, PHAST, or ERICA would be a plus.
The position requires the ability to work in a team and network as well as the capacity to handle new and innovative topics. Rigor, questioning, and concern for technical and regulatory monitoring are assets that will enable you to successfully carry out your missions.
