Reliability Engineer Product Development (m/f/d)

Your passion is product reliability. With your hardware engineering expertise, you will strengthen our success. Embedded in an international team, you will accompany product development projects through all stages and ensure that reliability requirements and targets are met. By applying state-of-the-art reliability tools and analysis methods, you will work closely with development engineers, product managers, quality assurance, and manufacturing engineering – making our products even more robust, durable, and trusted worldwide.
Your tasks
Apply modern reliability methods to identify potential failure modes, manage reliability risks, and define optimization measures
Perform data-driven reliability analysis of existing and new products using test results and field-return data
Plan, evaluate, and document reliability tests including statistical analysis and root cause analysis of failures
Support product development projects with reliability expertise and take the lead for reliability activities within projects
Contribute to building and strengthening reliability competence at Sonova R&D
Your profile
University degree in electrical or mechanical engineering (or a related technical field)
5+ years of professional experience in product development with a proven track record of successful projects
Expertise in design-for-reliability methods (e.g. statistical failure analysis, reliability test planning/DoE, (D)FMEA, DRBFM, FTA)
Experience collaborating with external development partners
Self-driven with strong leadership and influencing skills
Background in the medical device industry or other regulated fields is a strong plus
Fluent in English; German knowledge is an advantage but not a requirement
