What is technical debt (quickly explained)? Technical debt is the hidden cost ofshort-term IT decisions. A quick patch might work today, but it often increases complexity, maintenance effort, and security risk tomorrow. Example: choosing a workaround instead of a clean modernization makes the System harder to maintain in the long run.
The Institute of Information Systems and Digital Business (IWI-HSG) has been conducting application- and design-oriented research at the interface between business and IT for more than 30 years.
Send application by October 15, 2025 to E-Mail schreiben with CV, max. 5 sentences on why you're a strong fit and current transcript.
