- OSAP is one of the entry points for people assigned asylum in the canton by the Confederation. They are accommodated in collective housing centers, including the one in Perreux. During their stay, they are socially supported by multidisciplinary teams and receive material assistance to meet their basic needs.
As a social worker at the Perreux center, you contribute to empowering people by taking into account their abilities, the institutional and legal context, as well as their rights and obligations.
Life in the center and social supervision
You ensure the care (support and social follow-up) of the people assigned to you. In this context, you explain the center's rules, create files, and manage arrivals. As part of the follow-up, you analyze the situation of the people by establishing a professional relationship based on trust and respect. You identify the options available to the people and help them make decisions and undertake the steps best suited to their situation.
Social assistance benefits
You calculate the right to social assistance according to the applicable rules and manage penalties, guarantees, and indemnities, while ensuring the follow-up of their health file and that of network partners.
Organization and administration
You participate in team meetings during which tasks are organized, daily schedules are developed, and care strategies are defined. At the request of the office manager, you also take part in projects of the office and/or the service.
Holder of a HES bachelor’s degree in social work or an equivalent qualification, you have at least two years of significant experience in a similar role and structure. You have skills in using common office tools.
Teamwork motivates you, and you demonstrate reliability by showing precision, rigor, and systematic work while respecting work procedures and regulations. You show a particular interest in the field of migration and have a real sensitivity to working with a multicultural audience. Flexible and endowed with good analytical and listening skills, you are able to manage and defuse conflict situations thanks to your mediation skills.
You are versatile and solution-oriented but also hold a driving license, essential for the role. Knowledge of the asylum field as well as English and/or other foreign languages is an asset.
