University Intern youngCaritas 80%, 12 months fixed-term (m/f/d)
youngCaritas is the youth division of Caritas Switzerland. We bring a variety of Caritas topics closer to young people and inform them about development and social policy backgrounds. At the same time, we offer the opportunity for active engagement through various projects and promote young people's own projects. Personal contact and appreciation are very important to us.
As a university intern, you will be an important part of the youngCaritas team for one year. You will bear the main responsibility for the digital communication channels, independently take on subprojects, and support the team with various tasks. The position offers you plenty of room for initiative and creativity and a great opportunity to gain first professional experience in the environment of an NGO.
Your tasks

Volunteer management:
Within our team, you lead our external communication and coordinate our digital communication channels. This includes:
- the creation of informative and creative content for social media channels
- the implementation and further development of the social media concept, expansion of social media channels
- the maintenance of the website and newsletter
Event management:
You support us in organizing and carrying out events. This includes:
- co-organization of the youngCaritas Award, MigrAction Weekend, and the Wirkstatt
- organization and execution of community events
Education:
You are part of our education team and actively contribute. This includes:
- conducting workshops at schools
- developing educational materials
- opportunity to deepen skills in the topics of poverty, migration, international cooperation, and debt prevention
Volunteer management:
You take an active role in our volunteer area. This includes:
- co-leading the International Cooperation action group
- supporting other youngCaritas volunteer projects
Our requirements
- University degree (Bachelor) in communication, marketing, socio-cultural animation, social and humanities sciences, or related fields
- Interest in social and political topics, especially in the fields of activity of Caritas Switzerland
- Enthusiasm for social media, enjoyment in creating creative content
- Enjoyment in writing target group-oriented texts
- Flair for organizational and coordinative tasks
- Independent, open, and creative personality
- Desire for participatory work in the team and collaboration with young volunteers
- Willingness for occasional evening and weekend assignments
