The Building Construction Section of the City Building Office is looking for a
As of May 1, 2026, or by arrangement.
You are responsible for project management of interesting and diverse construction projects for the municipality and local citizen community of Aarau. Your main task is the client-side project management during phases SIA 2 to 5 in collaboration with planners, various city project participants, and other specialist offices. In this role, you manage the projects while always keeping an eye on political, communication, and participation processes. Within the project work, you prepare reports and proposals for the executive and legislative bodies. You also monitor compliance with quality, deadlines, and costs, ensuring optimal contract management in the areas of planning and implementation.
You have a university or university of applied sciences degree as an architect and already have several years of experience in project management. You are open and communicative and enjoy coordination tasks. You also possess a pronounced process-oriented mindset regarding opportunities and risks. You bring sound judgment in urban planning and architectural matters and are characterized by negotiation skills as well as fluency in oral and written expression. You enjoy working interdisciplinarily and with various contacts. Further training in project management, construction economics, and sustainable building is desirable.
