You are creative: Conduct high-quality industrial research in the areas of Generative AI and Large Language Models for sustainable power grids, green energy and related fields

You are impactful: Develop innovative software solutions, turn them into prototypes and increase their technology readiness towards productization

You take initiative: Collaborate with a global and interdisciplinary team of researchers and engineers in Hitachi Energy Research and Business Units to identify and solve real-world problems and realize opportunities for further improvements

You collaborate: Build relationships within the company and actively share your knowledge and expertise. Interact with local and global external partners including universities and vendors

You communicate: Disseminate your results in technical reports, patent applications, and scientific publications
Your background
-
PhD degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field

Proven expertise in a broad range of recent Generative Modelling technology including Large Language Models, with a solid understanding of algorithms, frameworks, and extensive experience in relevant software tools

Expertise in scalable and high-performance computing

Good knowledge of the NVIDIA AI/ML software technology stack

Strong ability and keen interest in applying AI to real-world industrial applications and business cases related to the energy sector and driving the emerging research in this field toward productization

Excellent communication skills, team player attitude, initiative, and creativity

Fluency in English, both written and spoken
