About the job
Our hospital ensures comprehensive outpatient and inpatient extended basic care for the canton of Uri.The emergency service of the Cantonal Hospital Uri, with two bases in Altdorf and Andermatt as well as support in the Central Switzerland Rescue Service Network, is responsible for preclinical emergency care in the region and carries out around 3000 missions per year. These are dispatched via the ambulance emergency call center 144 in Lucerne. Our operational area includes numerous municipalities, mountain passes, lakes, rivers, various ski and hiking areas, as well as one of the most important north-south traffic axes of the Alps, the Gotthard route with car and rail.
In our emergency service, we offer as of May 1, 2027 two training positions for paramedics HF:
- one training position for the 3-year basic training
- one training position for the shortened 2-year training
YOUR TRAINING
- You take over and perform preclinical patient care.
- You coordinate cooperation with other professionals and/or partner organizations as needed.
- You master driving the ambulance vehicle in any situation.
- You initiate and carry out life-saving measures.
OUR REQUIREMENTS
- Completed education at secondary level II (Matura, EFZ, etc.), tertiary level or postgraduate studies
- Driver's license category C1/D1 with BPT 121/122
- PC skills at user level
- A certain level of technical understanding
- Mental and physical resilience
- High social and communication skills
- Willingness to work irregular hours
