One position is 40% and the other 50%, to be filled from October 1, 2025 (2-year fixed-term contract).
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, CHUV plays a leading role in medical care, medical research, and education.
The Excessive Gambling Center (CJE) is a unit of the Addiction Medicine Service at CHUV, specialized in gambling addiction. It addresses public health needs in prevention, training, research, and treatment. In terms of prevention, it works with various target groups, notably within the framework of the addictive behavior prevention program in schools. It advises authorities on structural prevention and helps network the different actors in the field. The CJE contributes to the teaching and training of health professionals as well as raising awareness among staff at gaming venues.
The CJE carries out expert and research mandates and notably contributes to evaluation and monitoring efforts of the Federal Act on Money Games (LJAr). Clinically, it directs anyone concerned (care seekers or relatives) by gambling, video games, and internet-related disorders within the Vaud network. It acts as a second line for addiction consultations in the canton and offers specialized social and therapeutic follow-ups. It is the center recognized by the Canton for requests to lift exclusions under art. 81 LJAr.
