Is this helpful?
Good for life – that is our motto. The Office for Youth and Career Counseling of the Canton of Zurich, branch office of the districts Affoltern, Dietikon, Horgen, operates a regional school social work office. On behalf of schools, it is responsible for the personnel, professional, and administrative management of school social workers. To ensure low-threshold school social work, the workplaces are located in the individual school communities.
For the primary school Stallikon, we are looking immediately for a school social worker for a temporary replacement. The assignment is expected to last until the end of April 2026.
You advise and support children, parents, and teachers in educational and social matters. You are familiar with child protection and child welfare. In crises and conflicts, you conduct interventions in classes and groups. You work with the school team of the school and with other specialist offices.
For this task, we require a completed degree in social work at the university of applied sciences level and several years of professional experience in school social work or in socio-educational work with children and adolescents. You have skills in counseling, prevention, crisis intervention, and project work as well as an independent and interdisciplinary way of working.
We offer you a versatile, interesting, and independent activity with annual working hours (compensation of school holiday time through increased workload during school time). You will receive support from a professional and collegial SSA team and from the responsible regional management in the Affoltern district. The employment conditions correspond to the cantonal guidelines.
