About the job
In our Trusted Medical Coordination Office (VAK), insurance questions, benefit law, and customer concerns meet medical know-how: Here it is decided what is possible – and what is not. Do you feel at home in medical jargon, penetrate even the most complicated contexts, and prefer to make bold decisions rather than hesitate endlessly?
What you can achieve
- You clarify whether outpatient and inpatient treatments according to KVG and VVG are medically sensible, legally covered, and contractually correct.
- With your trained eye, you prepare complex cases so that the trusted doctor can focus on the essentials.
- Cost approval – yes or no? You make well-founded decisions and provide transparent feedback to insured persons and service providers.
- You keep an overview even when many parties are involved and coordinate services with other social insurances.
- Whether by phone or in writing: You conduct conversations with empathy and clarity with service providers, social insurances, insured persons, and internal teams.
What distinguishes you
- a completed (para-)medical training or a commercial basic training with several years of professional experience in the benefits area of a health or social insurance
- profound knowledge of medical terminology is a prerequisite
- an independent and solution-oriented way of working combined with target-group-appropriate communication and high analytical skills
- flawless German skills in spoken and written form – a second national language (French/Italian) is a plus
Your benefits
- 40-hour week and flexible working hours
- Home office options
- 25 vacation days, 30 days from age 50
- December 24 & 31 paid holidays
- 15 minutes paid breaks each morning and afternoon
- Free fruit
- Diverse drink and food offerings in the in-house cafeteria
- Modern office spaces directly at Wankdorf Bern train station
- CHF 300.– rail coupon for an annual, route, or general subscription (GA)
- CHF 2,200.– Reka checks per year with 20% discount
