Job Description
As an engineer or lead engineer, you strengthen the Building Engineering and Technical Sector (SITB). The team, composed of about fifteen people specialized in various technical fields of the building: Heating-Ventilation-Air Conditioning (HVAC), sanitary, medical gases, and electricity, manages about 60 projects simultaneously. You thus work in an environment that is both demanding and innovative.
In this role, you manage construction or renovation projects from their design to their completion, highlighting your expertise in electricity. You are involved in projects including high and low current distribution, transformation and upgrading of TGBT and LV cabins, installation of photovoltaic solar panels, charging stations, or lighting replacement.
You carry out preliminary studies by analyzing feasibility, identifying needs, estimating costs, and defining the schedule. You write detailed specifications and propose technical solutions that enable informed decision-making. You ensure rigorous project framing, thus guaranteeing precise validation of objectives and controlled progress.
You evaluate technical solutions by selecting the most suitable equipment and developing detailed plans. You also prepare the necessary submissions for launching public tenders. You actively supervise by ensuring compliance with laws, standards, and regulations at every stage.
You oversee project execution by coordinating the different phases, monitoring the budget and schedule, and ensuring optimal collaboration with project teams. You participate in steering committees (COPIL), where you present work progress, propose solutions to potential challenges, and contribute to strategic decision-making.
In collaboration with your colleagues, you work on other cross-functional projects to coordinate actions, resolve issues, and propose adapted solutions. You also share your expertise with peers to support them in managing their own projects.
From a cross-functional perspective, you actively participate in continuous improvement by contributing to the evolution of standards and technical guidelines. You update documentation, conduct technological watch in your areas of expertise, and propose relevant improvements.
Qualifications
You hold a Master’s degree in building technical engineering with a specialization in electricity. Additional training in project management, such as HERMES or Agile, is an asset.
You have 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar position, ideally acquired within a large company or an institution operating in a complex environment.
You have thorough knowledge of the construction sector in Switzerland, particularly in Geneva, and master the standards, including for electricity OIBT and NIBT, laws, and applicable regulations.
You have demonstrated skills in project management methodology, especially in framing, stakeholder management, and change support. You master MS Project for managing your projects.
You demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and mobilizing leadership, enabling you to collaborate effectively with your contacts. Your analytical and synthesis abilities allow you to adopt a systemic and rigorous approach.
