Information Security Officer 60%Correctional Services and Reintegration (JuWe) is part of the Directorate of Justice and the Interior of the Canton of Zurich and is responsible for penal and measures enforcement as well as the implementation of various types of detention. For our 1,400 employees from around 40 professions, the successful social reintegration of offenders and the prevention of recidivism are of particular importance.
To support the Legal & Compliance department, we are looking for an Information Security Officer. The position is limited until the end of 2027.
This is your field of activity
- You accompany projects as well as digitization and IT initiatives from the perspective of information security and introduce security-relevant requirements at an early stage
- You are responsible for the establishment, continuous development, and monitoring of an effective Information Security Management System (ISMS) at the office level
- You establish and manage a systematic information security risk management and sustainably anchor it in leadership and decision-making processes
- You coordinate cooperation with cantonal authorities and ensure the implementation of overarching requirements
- You perform an independent governance and control function and report regularly to the office or management
- You promote a risk-aware security culture through awareness, training, and consulting of the line organization
What you bring
- You have a master's degree in (business) informatics, business administration, or risk management. Further training, e.g., CAS in the field of information security, is desirable
- You are proficient in handling security documentation
- You are able to effectively shape the interface between IT, law, and line organization and handle security-relevant issues in a structured manner
- You work solution-oriented and take responsibility for your area of expertise
- You bring team spirit, organizational understanding, and the ability to constructively involve different stakeholders
- You have an impeccable reputation (no entries in the criminal record and debt collection register)
