Training Manager at the CHUV Chaplaincy
The Care Directorate (DSO) is looking for a Training Manager with a workload between 80% - 100%, with a start date scheduled for September 1, 2026.
As a member of the CHUV Chaplaincy attached to the Care Directorate, you play a key role in promoting and implementing training rooted in the health institution, professionalizing, forward-looking, and widely recognized, serving the spiritual needs of the population.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, CHUV plays a leading role in medical care, medical research, and training.
The Care Directorate (DSO) is an essential component of institutional management, ensuring innovative development, coordination, and quality of care within all clinical departments of CHUV.
With more than 5,200 professionals, it brings together nursing and assistance staff, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, social workers, educators, spiritual companions, and volunteers.
The Chaplaincy Service aligns its action with CHUV's triple university mission: care for patients, their relatives, and professionals; teaching and training; research and development. It can notably count on more than twenty spiritual companions. Visit the Chaplaincy web page
The training designed, organized, and delivered by the Chaplaincy Service allows the continued development of a spiritual accompaniment model in line with societal and health evolutions, and to train the next generation of spiritual companions, both at CHUV and beyond. It also supports the development of caregiving skills to meet the spiritual needs of the population.
Mission
Under the responsibility of the manager:
- You define and propose a strategic vision for the development of "spiritual care" training
- You lead the engineering, coordinate the development, and deliver training in "spiritual care"
- You provide spiritual accompaniment to patients, relatives, and staff
- You ensure the quality of educational services
- You lead the team of trainers to ensure coherence and coordination of educational activities.
Profile
- You hold a master's degree in theology or an equivalent qualification
- You have a federal diploma in supervision-coaching and/or adult education, or an equivalent qualification
- Ideally, you hold continuing/certification training in management and/or project management
- You have at least 5 years of experience in spiritual accompaniment in a healthcare setting as well as experience in supervision or adult education
- Committed personality, you demonstrate strong leadership, pedagogy, and communication skills
- You are able to interact agilely in a complex environment with multiple interprofessional actors.
