The Institute for Digital Construction stands for innovation, collaboration and excellence at the interface of construction and digitalization. As an entrepreneurial thinking and shaping personality, you will lead and develop the institute strategically, personnel-wise and professionally. You will shape its future with the following focuses:

Leading the institute and managing the staff, building and developing a high-performance, interdisciplinary team

Responsibility for budget, resources and quality in teaching, research and services

Co-designing and implementing a long-term strategic orientation of the institute in the context of the digital transformation of the construction industry

Taking on roles in the self-organization of the institute and representing the institute in university management
-
Representing the institute internally and externally – through publications, lectures and active networking with professional committees, industry and research at national and international levels

Developing and conducting own courses at bachelor, master and continuing education levels

Acquiring, leading and co-designing research and service projects in the field of digital construction
You have a university degree (at least a master’s) in a relevant field and bring several years of leadership experience, ideally in a university or research environment. In addition, you are characterized by the following skills and qualities:

Solid experience in leading and developing (self-organized) teams

Very good knowledge and practical experience in designing transdisciplinary collaboration

In-depth knowledge in process and organizational design as well as their transformation

Experience in successfully acquiring research or service projects

Good networking in the Swiss construction and planning industry

Openness and curiosity for digital technologies and tools

Experience in teaching and in the further development of study programs

Very good German and English skills, spoken and written

Higher education didactic qualification or willingness to acquire it during the first years
