University Intern 60 - 80%The Cantonal Social Office (KSA) performs diverse, controlling, and operational tasks in social assistance, social insurance, social institutions, and the asylum sector.
The Coordination Office for Disability Rights at the KSA supports professionals from the cantonal administration as well as from the municipalities in the canton of Zurich on specialist questions regarding disability rights, especially in relation to the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. In addition, it coordinates, among other things, the implementation of the cantonal action plan on disability rights. We are looking for a university intern 60 – 80% for the Coordination Office for Disability Rights starting August 1, 2026, or by arrangement, limited to 6 or 12 months.
The position
- You will deal substantively with questions regarding the rights of people with disabilities
- You will participate in projects, e.g., support services for municipalities
- You will conduct research on current topics
- You will contribute to the preparation of reports, statements, and concepts
- You will be involved in the development and implementation of information and awareness campaigns or in communication work
- You will support the team with general administrative tasks, e.g., organizing events, document accessibility
Your profile
- You are a student in a Bachelor's degree program in Social Work and must complete a mandatory internship as part of your studies
- You are interested in issues of equality for people with disabilities and want to gain insight into the work of the canton of Zurich in the field of disability rights
- You have completed initial training or studies and have at least three years of professional experience
- You have strong communication skills, are proficient in using MS Office applications, and have very good written skills
- You are a service-oriented, resilient, and flexible person with a quick grasp, networked thinking skills, and a structured way of working
