About the job
What you can achieve
- Handling incoming and outgoing telephone calls of the University Hospital Basel
- Answering internal and external general inquiries (opening hours, events, etc.)
- Forwarding calls from patients, medical practices, or external hospitals regarding health questions or clarifications
- Calling in on-call doctors, nursing staff, and other personnel on behalf of the departments within the University Hospital Basel
- Modifying data and maintaining the telephone system
- Setting up conference calls
What you bring with you
- Completed commercial apprenticeship or equivalent basic training
- Experience as a telephone operator or call center agent is an advantage
- Good IT skills (Office applications) are required
- Fluent Swiss German and German skills as well as very good French and English skills
- Communicative, customer-oriented, and reliable personality
- Networked thinking, quick comprehension, and willingness to work in a lively 7-day operation with irregular shifts (07:00–21:00)
