Mission:
As an Expert Automation Engineer
within the R&D department
of a product line at BOBST
, your main mission will be to design and implement automated systems
for our industrial equipment.
This includes:
Key responsibilities:
- Describing and analyzing functional requirements.
- Software development in the fields of automation, machine safety, and human-machine interfaces (HMI).
- Close collaboration with hardware teams to ensure coherent integration of solutions.
- Validation of functionalities on machines or at customer sites as applicable.
Profile sought:
- Develop and maintain automation, safety, and HMI software.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
- Implement solutions from cross-functional teams responsible for the software platform.
- Create tools that facilitate commissioning and troubleshooting of equipment.
- Provide technical guidance to junior engineers.
- Participate in commissioning and validation of new machine functions on production sites or at customers.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Automation, Electrical Engineering, or Software.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role.
- Expertise in object-oriented programming (ideally Delphi).
- Proficiency with Azure DevOps, Git, and TwinCAT tools.
- Knowledge of EtherCAT, OPC-UA, and databases (PostgreSQL) is a plus.
- Skills in electrical engineering.
- Professional proficiency in French and English.
