In addition, as a support fire brigade, it assists 33 surrounding municipalities and carries out operations on the assigned sections of the national highways N1 and N1R.

Material and Vehicle Supervisor (80 - 100%)
Your main responsibilities
Do you like taking responsibility and want to actively shape the Aarau Fire Department as part of a dynamic team? Then you are exactly right with us! As a Material and Vehicle Supervisor, after thorough training, you will focus on the following areas:
- Responsible for material readiness through maintenance, upkeep, repair, and cleaning of materials, equipment, clothing, and vehicles
- Responsible for monitoring building technical systems and installations as well as maintaining the fire department magazines
- Creating and updating operational and training documents
- Preparing and conducting training and further education
- Taking on on-call duty and supporting the command
- Participating in reports, meetings, and events, also outside normal working hours
- Contributing to the further development and leadership planning of fire department members
- Taking on general administrative tasks and project assignments
Your profile
- Completed vocational training in a craft or technical profession (EFZ level) and corresponding professional experience
- Completed fire officer training or willingness to complete it
- Leadership experience
- Negotiation skills in dealing with authority representatives, contract partners, and other stakeholders
- Good IT user skills and technical understanding
- Confident written expression and numerical flair
- Authorization to drive motor vehicle category C1 (Code 118) or C, or willingness to acquire it
- Resilient, team-oriented, and reliable personality who acts calmly and thoughtfully even in hectic times
- Willingness for on-call duty, irregular working hours, and work during school holidays
- Residence in Aarau or a neighboring municipality
