The opportunity
As a Senior Market Analyst within Project Suisen, you will play a key role in supporting the transformation of Hitachi Energy’s global Marketing & Sales (M&S) function. This role is central to shaping our go-to-market strategy, providing data-driven insights, and enabling strategic decision-making across Business Units, Product Groups, Product Lines, Market Segments & Subsegments, Regions, and Countries.
You will collaborate closely with workstream leaders and senior stakeholders to analyze market trends, evaluate commercial performance, and identify opportunities for growth and optimization. This is a high-impact role for a strategic thinker with strong analytical capabilities and a passion for driving transformation in a global, matrixed environment.
This position offers flexibility and can be based anywhere in Europe.
How you’ll make an impact

Deliver high-quality market and business analysis to support the development and execution of go-to-market strategies

Monitor project progress and synthesize insights to inform leadership decisions within the M&S and other functions

Analyze financial, sales, and customer data to assess the effectiveness of marketing and commercial initiatives

Prepare strategic presentations, dashboards, and meeting materials for senior leadership, ensuring clarity and alignment with project goals

Collaborate with M&S community (Global Industry Network Leaders, Regional Market Development Managers, HBU Market Managers, etc.) and the Portfolio teams across the BUs to ensure consistent communication and alignment

Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying process gaps and supporting the development of scalable solutions
Your background

A university degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field

Proven experience in market analysis, commercial strategy, or business intelligence — ideally within the energy sector and a global matrix organization

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights

Proficiency in data visualization and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Excel)

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and present findings clearly and persuasively
