Project Manager for the Internal Audit Service
The CHUV is looking for a project manager at a rate between 80% and 100% for April 1st or a date to be agreed upon, who will be responsible for independently carrying out assurance and consulting missions across all departments and services of the CHUV. These include planning, executing missions, drafting report projects, and following up on recommendations.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, the CHUV plays a leading role in medical care, medical research, and education.
With more than 12,000 employees and an annual operating budget of over one billion francs, the CHUV has an efficient Internal Audit Service. This service, administratively attached to the General Director of the CHUV, is composed of a small high-level team adhering to international standards governing internal auditing.
Mission
As an Audit Project Manager, you will play a key role in evaluating, advising, and continuously improving the functioning of the CHUV. Your main tasks will be:
- You will conduct assurance work in accordance with article 50 para. 2 RLHC, to evaluate the internal control system, verify the proper use of resources, and analyze the relevance of projects and programs in relation to the institution's objectives
- You will provide your expertise and support to strengthen risk management, improve operational efficiency, and support the performance of key processes
- In close collaboration with the auditees and stakeholders, your analyses and recommendations will directly contribute to the evolution and quality of CHUV governance.
Profile
The expected skills and qualities are as follows:
- You have completed university or HES training supplemented by a recognized certification, such as chartered accountant, finance and controlling expert, or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA)
- You have proven experience in planning, conducting, and following up on audit and consulting mandates, as well as proven practice in organizational auditing (analysis of structures, cross-functional processes, governance, efficiency, and distribution of responsibilities) in complex or institutional environments, which would be an asset
- You possess strong data analysis skills, with mastery of data processing and exploitation tools (SQL, PowerQuery, Power BI, etc.) as well as office tools (Office suite)
- You have a critical and analytical mind accompanied by strong synthesis ability and excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- You have experience within a Big 4, know the functioning of the public sector, the health domain, or hold additional certifications in risk management (CRMA®) or project management (CAPM®, PMP®): these elements constitute a decisive asset.
Depending on your profile, the salary class will be between level 12 and level 13.
