What you can achieve with us

You work in a heterogeneous class with 4 to 8 children with blindness / visual impairment and/or on the autism spectrum (AS). You support the class team in individual as well as group sequences. You assist in planning and conducting lessons and in organizing the daily routine. After the introduction, you take over individual learning sequences. If needed, you also work in the residential groups and participate in camps, events, or excursions.

This pre-internship is suitable for those interested in training in the educational-social field. During the internship, you reflect on your educational attitude and behavior and are accompanied by a specialist.

What you bring with you

You are interested in education for the blind and visually impaired as well as children with disabilities. You are at least 18 years old, have empathy and a sense of humor, and act calmly and solution-oriented even in difficult situations. You are always aware of your responsibility. With your open, friendly, and helpful manner, you contribute to a good team atmosphere.

What you can look forward to

Through the internship, you gain deeper insight into working with visually or multiply disabled or blind children and adolescents and are trained and supported by specialists.

You are part of a well-coordinated, professional team that supports each other and learns from one another. We exchange ideas in regular meetings. Informal occasions such as team outings or annual celebrations also have their place with us.

Our clear structures and framework conditions provide security and enable independent work. In addition, you will be carefully introduced to the field and can pursue internal training.

We are the Foundation for Blind and Visually Impaired Children and Adolescents Zollikofen - a private, politically and denominationally neutral organization with a non-profit purpose. Our task is to support and accompany people with special needs from birth to young adulthood.
