- Responsible for case management and advising asylum seekers and refugees. Conducting client interviews, initial consultation, assistance with everyday problems, conflict resolution, mediation and arbitration
- Coordinating, clarifying and referring to specialized agencies for issues outside own responsibility
- Developing and implementing measures for social integration
- Taking responsibility for the completeness and correct physical and electronic file management. Taking responsibility for correct data entry / changes / case documentation
- Supporting asylum seekers according to cantonal standards and internal guidelines. Calculating and paying support benefits according to applicable standards and the subsidiarity principle. Preparing and/or correcting quarterly accounts as well as maintaining accounting lists and tables
- Preparing orders with legal remedy instructions for integration measures. Checking orders prepared by the administration
- Conducting monthly home visits (if relevant)
- Ensuring communication with clients and other authorities. Collaborating with other internal departments
Requirements
- Completed training in social pedagogy / social work (HF/FH) / diploma as educator (HF/FH) / bachelor in psychology or bachelor in sociology
- 0 to 1 year relevant professional experience
- Cooperation and teamwork skills
- Empathy and sensitivity in dealing with people from different backgrounds
- Ability to independently implement social interventions
- Basic and user knowledge of MS Office applications
- Impeccable reputation (no entries in debt enforcement and criminal records)
