Business Risk Manager

Your team

Pictet Asset Services (PAS) provides custody, fund services and trading solutions for external asset managers, fund managers and institutional clients. We manage every aspect of the asset servicing value chain and our range of bespoke solutions include value-adding analytics, trading strategy support and digital front-end interfaces designed to provide an unrivalled customer experience.

Your role

As a Business Risk Manager (BRM), you will be a member of the 1st line of defence at PAS in Switzerland and will cover risk and compliance matters for the Swiss legal entity. You may be based in Geneva or Zurich (to be discussed). As a BRM, you will deal with topics such as reputational risk, operational risk, anti-money laundering, market coverage and cross-border issues. You will contribute to the following activities:

-  Assist PAS Front teams in effectively managing risks generated by their activities.
-  Facilitate the interactions between Pictet risk and compliance teams and Front teams.
-  Advise PAS Front teams on daily risk and compliance matters. 
-  Report to PAS Management giving them real time and a 360' view on the Front’s stakes, risk exposure and workload, in order to define strategic priorities.
-  Review complex cases of client onboardings, KYC reviews and monitoring (focus on High Risk and PEP clients, as well as transactional alerts).
-  Prepare and support various Front and / or risk and compliance initiatives (e.g. annual KYC campaigns, de-risking exercises, repapering exercises, etc.).
-  Relay key risk and compliance messages from Management to the Front teams.
-  Perform risk and compliance ad hoc controls.
-  Elaborate various presentations and reports.
-  Drive / Support various projects and change management initiatives.

Your profile

- University degree with a demonstrable interest in risk and compliance matters, and/or proven experience in risk and compliance at a private bank. 
- Qualities such as curiosity, objectivity, assertiveness, diplomacy, a desire to learn, analytical skills and teamwork are required. 
- A positive, pragmatic and solution-oriented mindset is essential.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Microsoft applications (Excel, PowerPoint). Applications such as Tableau or Python would be a plus. 
- Fluent in French and English; German would be an asset. 
- Swiss residency required.
