The opportunity
Hitachi Energy is driving innovation in Substation Automation and Telecommunications. We're looking for a Tendering Team Manager for AC Service Tenders in our Baden office, Switzerland.
In this role, you'll lead a team of 10 tendering specialists across Switzerland and India, with potential growth into other Hub Europe locations. You'll be responsible for the quality, timeliness, and competitiveness of service tenders from the Swiss legal entity, and support broader Hub Europe initiatives.
As the senior service tendering leader in Switzerland, you'll be a key contact for Sales and Service Operations. We're seeking someone with proven team leadership experience, strong communication skills, and a passion for continuous improvement.

How you’ll make an impact

Lead and develop the team and functional responsibilities to ensure competitive bids, estimates, and quotations with a customer-centric approach

Build and grow a high-performance, world-class tendering team for our Automation and Communication Service business

Oversee the preparation of all technical, financial, commercial, contractual, and operational aspects of bids, including pricing and trading conditions

Establish and optimize processes and governance for all Extensions, Upgrades & Retrofits tenders, Service Level Agreement tenders, Service Export tenders, and Base services

Contribute to the growth of Telecommunications services through competency building, strategy alignment, and process optimization

Cultivate relationships with internal and external stakeholders to enhance bid preparation efficiency and quality

Refine tendering processes and tools for continuous improvement

Your background
-
Min. 5 years leadership experience in an international and diverse environment

Min. 7 years experience in sales, tendering, project management, or engineering

Knowledge of Telecommunication systems, Substation Automation, SCADA, RTUs, and IEDs is a plus

Experience in the Energy Industry

Deep understanding of tendering and sales processes with a track record of improving efficiency

Strong commercial acumen and familiarity with export business models and contractual requirements

Service business and customer-facing experience is advantageous

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Fluent in English; additional European languages are a plus
