BTELT is the electrotechnical department of Matisa SA. It is responsible for the design, development, and integration of electrotechnical systems embedded in railway machines. The department is involved throughout the entire product lifecycle: from initial study to commissioning, including testing, technical validation, and approval procedures. In close collaboration with other technical departments, it ensures coherent system integration, guaranteeing the quality, safety, and maintainability of the installations.
The objective of this project is to migrate the electrical design process from 2D to 3D, while ensuring smooth and efficient integration between EPLAN and the chosen 3D CAD software.
To this end, we wish to welcome a 3D DRAWING MIGRATION INTERN for a 6-month period to complement our Technical Office team of 12 collaborators including the manager.
. Proposal of a strategy for migrating electrical layouts from 2D to 3D.
. Creation and implementation of 3D component library management.
. Implementation of data import/export processes between EPLAN and the 3D CAD software (terminal blocks, PLCs, etc.).
. Development of intelligent parametric functionalities (adjustable rails, configurable cabinets, etc.).
. Maintaining the ability to produce 2D plans from 3D designs.
. Feasibility study and impact assessment of integrating electrical layouts into the mechanical team’s 3D assemblies.
. Integration of engravings into 3D designs.
. Validation by internal teams of the relevance of deliverables (Method teams, electrical production, catalogs, etc.).
. Identify existing sources of 3D models (STEP, other formats).
. Evaluate the possibility of using standard 3D component libraries or those from our suppliers.
. Define a process to convert existing 2D drawings into 3D models.
. Bachelor/Master in electrical, mechanical, microtechnology, or equivalent field.
. English level B2.
. Understanding of 2D and/or 3D CAD software.
. Proactive, able to make proposals, and sociable.
