The Group Tax Department, based in Geneva, is responsible for managing the Group’s tax situation, ensuring compliance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements as well as the risk control framework, safeguarding Pictet’s reputation, and maintaining good relationships with tax authorities.
The Group Tax Department is seeking a tax expert to join the Group Tax Office team, which is primarily responsible for steering strategic tax projects within the Group, managing tax risks and controls, and coordinating responses to information requests or audits.
Your role
- Participate in the management of strategic tax projects by providing tax expertise on various aspects, including direct and indirect taxes.
- Implement and carry out tax controls and audits, issue recommendations based on findings, and monitor the implementation of these recommendations.
- Conduct tax risk assessments and design risk mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure tax aspects are properly considered.
- Monitor developments in tax law and regulations.
The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate a particular sensitivity and strong knowledge in the following areas, which remain a key part of the mission:
- Provide support and advice on the following subjects: CRS/FATCA, QI & DAC6.
- Support for the implementation, operation, and control of CRS/FATCA, QI & DAC6, under the supervision of the Group Tax Department in Geneva.
- Ensure regulatory watch and monitor development in local and international tax regimes related to CRS/FATCA, QI & DAC6.
Your profile
- Holder of a master’s degree in economics or law
- At least five years’ experience in a similar function
- Expertise in corporate tax matters in Luxembourg.
- Knowledge of the tax environment in other European countries.
- Excellent writing and presentation skills.
- Able to work well in a team and on your own when required, as well as under time pressure and accurately.
- Fluent in French and English
