Information System Manager for the DFME
The Women-Mother-Child Department (DFME) is looking for an information system manager with a workload between 80% - 100%, for a start date on April 1, 2026.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, CHUV plays a leading role in medical care, medical research, and education.
The Women-Mother-Child Department (DFME) includes the Gynecology, Obstetrics, Neonatology, Pediatrics, and Child and Adolescent Surgery Services. More than 1,500 professionals work within this department. We care for women throughout their lives in gynecological, obstetrical, and psychosocial aspects, as well as children from birth to adolescence.
Mission
- You actively contribute to the efficient use of the department's information systems by providing support and advice to users, in close collaboration with the IT Department and delegated IT correspondents (support, configuration, maintenance, and Data Manager)
- You identify user needs and propose, after analysis, solutions to implement to improve processes and information flow (procedure guides, user training)
- You coordinate and ensure the proper functioning of business applications by maintaining the department's databases and performing quality control
- You participate in IT projects in close connection with the information system manager and the department lines
- You ensure compliance with institutional rules regarding the use of IT tools.
Profile
- You hold a higher technical diploma (ES) in IT or an equivalent qualification (desired)
- You have advanced knowledge of FileMaker and MS Access software, which is a real asset
- You have confirmed functional and operational experience in a similar position for at least 5 years and have a strong taste for producing clear, concise, and quality documentation
- You have excellent listening, communication, and negotiation skills and enjoy working both in a team and independently
- You have a developed sense of priority management that allows you to perform assigned tasks with rigor, precision, and reliability
- You have knowledge of the hospital environment, which is an asset.
