Then you are exactly right with the Canton of Zurich! Currently, around 300 apprentices in 30 different professions are completing their training with us, and we invite you to become part of this success story. Currently, around 70 young people are in ICT apprenticeships.
Training positions for IT specialists are available, for example, at the Cantonal Police, the Office for IT, and the Secondary and Vocational Education Office. A 24/7 functioning ICT infrastructure is indispensable in today's working world. The internal IT departments with their employees and trainees are responsible for smooth operation.
The Apprenticeship
In the 4-year apprenticeship to become an IT Specialist EFZ Application Development, you will learn how software applications are planned, developed, tested, and further developed. You work with various programming languages, tools, and technologies to create modern applications and digital solutions. In collaboration with customers and project teams, you analyze requirements and implement ICT projects in the form of software solutions. You deal with topics such as software architecture, databases, interfaces, and user interfaces. You also pay attention to the security of applications as well as the protection of information and data.
The Requirements
For the apprenticeship as an IT Specialist EFZ Application Development, we are looking for secondary school A students with good grades in mathematics, German, and English, technical flair, and a strong interest in IT. Furthermore, analytical and logical-abstract thinking skills as well as a quick grasp are strengths of yours. Your social skills are also very important to us, as you will work a lot in teams and have direct customer contact.
