Lawyer 80 - 100%The Personnel Office of the Canton of Zurich is the competence center for all personnel, labor, and social insurance law questions of the over 35,000 employees of the Canton of Zurich as well as many public-law institutions and municipalities.
The Personnel Law Department ensures the uniform implementation of cantonal personnel law and its contemporary further development and participates in various projects related to adjustments in cantonal personnel management.
For our team, we are looking for a motivated person from July 2026 or by arrangement who brings in their know-how and is eager to make a difference together with us.
Your tasks
- You advise HR professionals and managers on personnel law issues and related legal areas.
- In projects, for example in the area of IT and legislation, you take on legal responsibility.
- You prepare instructions and guidelines.
- You review government council matters from a personnel law and policy perspective.
- You further develop the electronic personnel law manual.
- You accompany parliamentary matters and prepare corresponding proposals to the government council.
- You conduct training in the area of personnel law.
- You share responsibility for recruiting, training, and supervising legal interns.
Your profile
- You have a completed degree in law (lic. iur. or MLaw) and at least three years of professional experience in labor or personnel law, complemented by knowledge of administrative law.
- You express yourself clearly and appropriately for the audience, both orally and in writing.
- You work independently and in a structured manner and are at the same time a team player.
- You find it easy to clearly represent your position even in challenging situations and to deal with different interest groups.
- Experience in project work, especially in the area of legislation, rounds off your profile.
