The Sozialwerk Pfarrer Sieber Foundation (SWS) is committed to helping those in need based on the Gospel. With around 200 employees and 250 volunteers, it operates several facilities in the health and social sectors in Zurich and the surrounding area, offering assistance especially with homelessness, substance addiction, and other related health and social problems.

Nemo is an emergency shelter for young people and young adults between 16 and 23 years old who currently have no accommodation. We offer them a protected, low-threshold, supervised, and time-limited overnight stay in a family-like setting (max. ten young people). Further professional social counseling is part of the offer.

We are looking for a

Pre-intern 80% for 6 – 9 months

starting August 2026 and September 2026 or by arrangement.

• Participation in the care of up to 10 young people and young adults
• Building sustainable relationships and trust work with people in crisis situations
• Carrying out care work always together with at least one professional
• Guidance and co-responsibility for household tasks
• Active accompaniment and support of the young people and young adults during evening and morning operations while maintaining a reliable structure
  

• Interest and enthusiasm for working with the target group
• High social competence, resilience, and empathy
• Independent, initiative personality with assertiveness
• Willingness to work shifts including weekends and holidays
  Mon–Sun late shift: 16:00–23:00 | Night shift: 23:00–09:00 with the possibility to sleep. The shifts do not overlap.
• Minimum age 25 years

• Allowances for late, night, Sunday, and holiday shifts. Hours during the night shift are counted as working time
