The Child and Adult Protection Authority (APMA) stands by people in difficulty. Those in need of help and support can count on the APMA. Every day is different with us. Within the interdisciplinary team, we actively shape a secure future for adults, families, children, and adolescents in need of protection.
To strengthen the team of the APMA Graubünden, Northern Graubünden branch, we are looking for a member of the APMA starting May 1, 2026, or by agreement.
Tasks
- Making decisions within the interdisciplinary judicial board and co-responsibility for the arrangement and adjustment of protection measures for minors and adults
- Managing assigned proceedings as well as drafting and preparing the corresponding decisions
- Legal assessment of procedural and substantive law issues and ensuring the correct application of the law
- Conducting own investigations and commissioning investigations
- Personal hearings of persons in need of protection and other involved persons
- Advising and supporting guardians
- Collaboration with municipalities as well as specialized services and external institutions
- Contributing to the further development of the existing organization and specialist standards
What we expect from you
- University diploma, university of applied sciences degree, or equivalent training, preferably in law or in social work, pedagogy, psychology, or psychiatry
- Several years of professional experience in legal social work, preferably in the field of child and adult protection at an APMA or a professional guardianship office, a court, or a juvenile prosecution office
- Excellent spoken and written German skills
- Strong teamwork skills
- High communication and social skills as well as empathy for people in difficult life situations
- Flexibility, high ability to cope with stress, and decision-making skills even in difficult situations
- Precise and independent working method and strong sense of responsibility
- Excellent expression skills and good knowledge of Office applications
- Willingness to be on call
- Category B driving license
